The Around Annapurna Trek — often hailed as one of the most iconic trekking routes in the world — is a breathtaking journey through the heart of the Nepalese Himalayas. Spanning roughly 160 to 230 kilometers (100 to 145 miles), this trek encircles the Annapurna Massif, taking adventurers through a diverse range of landscapes — from subtropical forests and terraced farmlands to high-altitude deserts and snow-clad peaks.
What makes the Annapurna Circuit truly special is its ever-changing scenery and rich cultural experiences. As you ascend from the lush lowlands of the Marsyangdi Valley to the towering Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters (17,769 feet) — the highest point of the trek — you'll pass through charming villages inhabited by Gurung, Manangi, and Thakali communities, each with its own unique traditions and hospitality.
Along the way, trekkers are treated to panoramic views of some of the world’s most majestic peaks, including Annapurna I (8,091 m), Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Manaslu (8,163 m), and Machhapuchhre (6,993 m). The trek also offers moments of spiritual reflection, with visits to ancient monasteries, prayer wheels spinning in the mountain breeze, and colorful prayer flags fluttering against the Himalayan backdrop.
Whether you’re an experienced trekker seeking a challenging adventure or a nature enthusiast eager to witness the grandeur of the Himalayas, the Around Annapurna Trek promises an unforgettable journey through nature’s masterpiece.
