Description

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly received and transferred to your hotel. After some time to relax and freshen up, the journey begins with a visit to the Swayambhunath Stupa, an ancient religious site perched on a hilltop, offering a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley. Known as the “Monkey Temple,” it is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal. After this spiritual introduction to the city, return to your hotel for a restful evening.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Today is dedicated to exploring the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Kathmandu. Begin with a visit to Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s holiest Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River. Continue to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and a hub of Tibetan Buddhism. In the afternoon, head to Patan (Lalitpur), a city of fine arts and traditional crafts. Explore its exquisite temples, palaces, and courtyards filled with intricate wood and stone carvings. Return to your hotel in Kathmandu in the evening.

Day 3: Fly to Lhasa
This morning, you’ll take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa, the spiritual and political capital of Tibet. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, enjoy a beautiful 2-hour drive to Lhasa city, following the winding paths of the Yarlung Tsangpo and Lhasa Kyichu Rivers. Once in the city, check in to your hotel and take the rest of the day to rest and acclimatize to the altitude of the Tibetan Plateau.

Day 4: Explore Potala Palace and Sera Monastery
Begin the day with a visit to the majestic Potala Palace, the former winter residence of the Dalai Lamas and an architectural marvel that dominates the Lhasa skyline. Built in the 7th century and renovated in the 17th, the palace is both a religious and historical landmark. In the afternoon, continue to the Sera Monastery, one of the three great Gelugpa monasteries of Tibet. Witness the famous monk debates in the courtyard and learn about Tibetan monastic life. Return to your hotel for the night.

Day 5: Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Market
In the morning, visit Drepung Monastery, the largest monastery in Tibet and a key center of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism. Once home to thousands of monks, Drepung played a central role in Tibetan religious life. In the afternoon, head to the sacred Jokhang Temple, considered the holiest site in Tibet. Inside is the revered golden statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, brought to Tibet by Chinese Princess Wenchen. Afterwards, stroll through Barkhor Market, a vibrant circular path around the temple lined with traditional shops and bustling with pilgrims and locals.

Day 6: Return to Kathmandu
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight from Lhasa to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be taken back to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is yours to relax, explore at your own pace, or perhaps enjoy some shopping or a quiet café in the bustling Thamel area.

Day 7: Fly to Pokhara and Lakeside Leisure
Today you will take a short flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a scenic city nestled beside the tranquil Phewa Lake and beneath the majestic Annapurna mountain range. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing walk along the lakeside. Take a boating trip on the calm waters of Phewa Lake, offering views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and a peaceful atmosphere to unwind.

Day 8: Sunrise at Sarangkot and Pokhara Sightseeing
Rise early to drive to Sarangkot, a famous viewpoint overlooking the Pokhara Valley and the snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Witness the breathtaking sunrise as golden rays illuminate the mountains. Return to your hotel for breakfast before embarking on a full day of sightseeing. Day 9: Fly to Kathmandu, Visit Bhaktapur, and Transfer to Nagarkot

Day 11: International Departure
On your final day, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport approximately three hours before your scheduled flight. Depart with unforgettable memories of the majestic Himalayas, sacred temples, and rich cultures of Nepal and Tibet.
